Smart meter
SMART METER
"She says the meters are saving her money on lunchtime stops, because she reinserts her card when she's ready to leave and gets a refund for unused time.
"The nice thing is I don't have to carry change around in the car or in my purse," she says.
The meters — some of which also take coins — include solar-powered devices that take credit or debit cards, meters that can be paid by cellphone, and meters linked by wireless networks that can be remotely controlled and alert officers to parking violations, Vanderhoof says."

Laser cutter Project

MY PROJECT:
2 Options: Backboard or a Lamp(floor)
Needs: (1) 2X4’s, 2X2’s, Plywood(or better backing option, and a metal sheet (option rope lighting edge + paint)
(2) a thin wood + Plexi or substitute + light kit
Uses: Laser cutter + Wood shop (router, saw, drill)
I would like to create something that is beautiful as well as something I can use in my life. Right now I’m leaning towards the backboard because it is something I need. What it will come down to is what can I afford.
Timeline: Illustrator file prepared March 28th
This Week- Schedule Laser cutter time- Purchase supplies (if can get laser cutter time this week, then cut panels
Next week- Cut metal- 4th-14th cut and assemble Backboard or lamp

Movement through Layers
The first (3)layers I wanted to Create movement by use of shadow, opacity, and position change.
the 4th and 5th layer I wanted to appear intensely above the first 3 layers. I used edge accent to make it better pop. The 5th layer made more brighter then the 4th to appear above the 4th layer.
the 6th layer was used to be bright and above all layers, however, the intensity of the piece ruins the elegant simplicity of the piece and obvious movement.
I wish my imaging was more realistic or more obviously 3D
I would have stopped before I added the Last layer.

Controlled Serendipity
And I've got one pair of jeans
They’ve been stretched too far
And now they’re weak at the seams
I can’t say what’s next
And I got nothin' up my sleeve
But I don’t lose my head
Cause it ain’t really up to me
And I’m doing just fine
I’m always landing on my feet
In the nic of time
And by the skin of my teeth
I ain’t gonna stress
Cause the worst ain’t happened yet
Somethings watching over me
Like Sweet Serendipity
Sweet Serendipity
I don’t ask for a lot
No nothing more than I need
Because I love what I got
Don’t need to play the lottery
I just want to be strong
At the end of the road
I don’t want to hold on
I want the strength to let go
And I’m doing just fine
I’m always landing on my feet
In the nic of time
And by the skin of my teeth
I ain’t gonna stress
Cause the worst ain’t happened yet
Somethings watching over me
Like Sweet Serendipity
